Thread: a big thank you to Sarah Skinner

Just wanted to thank Sarah Skinner for helping A'Kai Silks create the branding image for the A'Kai Silks half circle veils that I still use today..

I started making the large half circles in Aug 2003 and selling them on ebay in Oct 2003..still have many of the early photos..

but it was a trip to New York and a photo shoot with Sarah Skinner, she let me borrow her gold costume and I brought handfuls of silk veils , by tucking the half circles in the hip belt we were able to create the big flying wings photos. Back in the day of selling on ebay the photos made really eye catching thumbnails in pages full of auction listings and they really stood out.

Thanks Sarah, still doing the same thing today :)

I love Sarah Skinner! And Jes, I have a dream to one day own a pair of double veils from you. ;)
