I am actually excited! I usually don't wear much make up.....So I am clueless and VERY unsure of what to do when putting on performing make up. I want this!

OMGoodness, I hope to get the "Bombshell" herself in the mountains of upstate N.Y. for a workshop, she is beyond precious just getting these people to quit chuckling about 'belly dance' in this redneck country has been a chore! But pooling other instructor resources to get this wonderful lady to us! No one ever knows about us here up in the hick mountain territory, it's always N.Y. city, 5 hours away.
Just a quick comment for you Princess we watched your video & was cracking up at the statement you made about 'matching the carpet to the drapes'........just know that I did that too, but had the response of "I don't have carpet, I have hardwood floors", I am sure you will get that :)

This looks like a fun resource! I hesitate to mention this since people are routinely complaining about my evil bitchiness, but - I can't see how it can be the *first* makeup instructional especially for belly dancers. I watched Meleah's Face It about.... god, 10 years ago? Maybe even more? It's so old it came out on VHS first, though.

does it say that on the website?
I watched the clip and didn't hear her mention it?


Looks fun- I love creating new looks/shapes and structure with make up. I think RuPaul's show is one of my favorites- those folks have the art down to a science and from 10 feet away- godDMNnnnnn it looks great.


le sigh- I need some friends who are into drag- everyone else thinks I'm crazy for my make up issues!

Meleah's "Face It" has been around for over a decade and is still available. I think the date on my copy (on VHS!) is 1997.

Azhia (Christine Millan) put out a makeup DVD for dancers in 2009 or so. It's encyclopedic, really an excellent resource.

This new one looks really interesting, too. It's always great to have more choices on the bookshelf! :)

you aren't a princess with us, you are a QUEEN !!! I am by Sacandaga Lake about an hour away from Albany the capital. Don't know where Brewster is, I moved here from Maui, Hawaii myself....here about 11 years now.
I have heard of Carmel, I will have to google it. If you do come to N.Y. for a workshop, please let me know, am in need of a good workshop with a professional!!! I know that I couldn't possibly afford someone like you.........I will keep an eye on your website to see where you will be travelling to. As I get older, I have a list of things I NEED to do (is that a bucket list? hahaha).....taking your workshop is in the top 4!

I agree on both counts. I have Azhia's DVD, it was invaluable to me as I hadn't even owned foundation before I started dancing. Azhia personally helped me, on line, through skin issues when I started having bad reactions to certain products.

That being said, I enjoy the heck out Princess and am looking forwar to seeing what she has to offer to our stage faces.

O.K. Got it and have watched it several times.

This is just what I needed!!!!! A handful of "looks" to choose from, all explained in detail.

I find that I stick to the same stage face every time I dance... I'm looking forward to getting my DVD so I can spice things up and add more drama to my make-up!

I just wrote my own review of the DVD set in my personal blog. What more can I say? In brief, I love it! It is just exactly what I need for my purposes, and it came out at a perfect time for me. I think the Princess and her partner Devilla do a fabulous job of presenting the information in a very accessible and enjoyable manner. It's practical, and fun. Thank you Princess Farhana and Devilla for your hard work helping to teach us how to use make-up to make ourselves even more beautiful while performing or posing for photos! Awesome job!
