Thread: SPIN OFF of Spray Tan or Au Naturale...cover veins in pale legs?

Hey ladies - I almost posted something in the other thread, but thought it better to just spin it off!

I've definitely got the porcelain skin color - especially my legs. And those have some obvious areas where I've got some veins that just seem to "jump out at you" because there's no pigment to camouflage them.

Anybody else out there have this problem? What do you use to cover, if anything? I've read some stuff about that Joan Rivers leg concealer, but I'm skeptical. I've sometimes just used my regular face concealer, but that doesn't seem to do much, and I'm afraid of ruining costumes by getting splotches on lining.

Well I'm a fan of Sally Hansen Airbrush legs, which I posted about in the spun-off thread I don't have much experience with other leg products.

I've read mixed reviews of Kat Von D's concealer (some folks swear by it and some swear at it), but that comes in fair shades.

I have this problem too and don't trust the spray on make up stuff.

Usually my legs are well concealed under a full skirt but for an upcomming performance we must wear a straight skirt with a split and we are not allowed to add chiffon into the split :(

I tried ordering some footless gloss tights but the colour is much too dark for me and all the pale colours seem to be sold out. I found some footless tights on ebay that are pale and have little sequins on them. I'm waiting for them to arrive and hoping for the best.

Alternatively, bellydancing direct have started making full body suits with legs attached. I may have to invest in one of those. Their light tan is a good match for my pale skin.

Knowing my luck though, my teacher will proabaly say no tights! I think I will just turn up with them on and hope she is too busy to notice.

I use the Sally Hansen airbrush leg makeup as well and really like it to even out the color on my legs and feet. Since I am naturaly pale I use one of the lighter shades. Make sure you let it dry completely before puting your costume on. If you do that you won't have a problem with it rubbing off on your blingy stuff.

I'm curious about the full leg stockings from belly dancing direct too. I love my regular body stockings from them. I never wear tights because they give me major muffin top, so a full body option is appealing. I wouldn't like the ankle thing, but I guess I could wear some type of ankle bracelet to cover the seam. Or do they have footed ones too? I could do footed ones with my ballroom shoes.
