Thread: Alteration help! Pharonics bra cups squishing my breasts.

I've got the right size for my cup size. But I notice that compared to my other costumes my Pharonics bras tend to flatten my chest and it's not looking all that great. I was thinking about if I needed to adjust the halter straps but I'm not sure if that would solve the issue. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?

I think it's just an unfortunate effect of their cup construction... they tend to flatten everyone out. I wish they made their cups like they used to.

Yes, I'm having this trouble with an A cup great loop. The cups just tilt up at the sides and down in the middle if I shorten the halter strap any more, the whole lot sits about an inch too low on my ribcage and weirdly flattens my boobs. Doesn't help that it turned out to be remarkably large for an 'A' and has already been padded to a quite ridiculous degree . I'm thinking of adding an extra strap of some sort from nearer to the centre of the cup to force the whole thing to sit higher. I've never tried this kind of engineering before, so a bit apprehensive!

I did exactly that with a Hanan bra that I had the problem with - it was a very easy fix (after I'd tried lots of other things) and worked a treat - I just sewed matching ribbon from between the cups in a "V" shape
to make a kind of halter strap that closes behind the neck. It sort of hoists everything up into a much better position. I added rhinestone trim to the ribbon and it actually looks really cool too!

I've had this problem before, on both Pharonics and a Sim, and solved it by 'lacing' the cups together.
Use doubled or double-doubled(!quadrupled!) thread, and start near the top of the centre section between the cups. Stitch back and forth between the two closest edges of the cups, working downwards over that centre section, and tightening it as needed.
The thread needs to be strong and stitched a number of times, because it takes the strain that was originally on the centre piece. It changes the angle of the cups, making it slightly more 'balconette'. Works a treat!

Sounds lovely. I am probably not the only one here interested in seeing a pix of your creation.

If its possible can you ladies who've done fixes on this problem post photos? I'm a very visual person and would love to see.

Sorry - it's not the best - my arm is in the way, but hopefully you get the idea. The ribbon I used is pretty thin as it's not totally weight bearing, but it is just enough to angle the cups and is super easy to do. I reckon it's worth a try!

I'm still not happy with the way the bra looks, so looks like I'll be selling both costumes.
