Thread: Dina cups from ebay?

I've been thinking about ordering some of the dina bra bases that they sell on ebay, but would like to know if any of you have bought them before? Who was the supplier? and are they good quality? Would you recommend them? And also how long did they take to deliver them? Or if you know of another site that sells them or something similar please share! :)

I've seen this thanks! But I'm not sure if she ships them? As I live in South Africa I thought ebay might just be the easier option!

My friend ordered a lot of 5 from this vendor Tribal Jewelry, Pharaonic Jewelry items in craveegypt store on eBay!. The quality in fine, they are very well made.

They took about 7 weeks to come to Canada, but the major problem is the size. We wanted to split the lot between 3 of us, so one girl and I asked for 2 D cup bras each and the other girl asked for E cup.

Not taking any chance, we all ordered one cup larger because those bra are made small anyway. Lest face it, that's the way they are worn by populars Egyptian dancers. But booby explosions are not for us Canadian dancers!

So finaly, the bras arrived and... Drat! They are all too small, the "Ds" look more like big "B" not even a "C" so we were all disapointed. Could also be that the vendor sent use whatever he had in stock without considering the sizes that were asked, who knows?

But anyway, since I do costume projects for others I'll probably use them for someone else.

I might try to alter on of them using larger cups of an old bra and see how it goes.

Too bad because they cary cute ones wich already cover with fabric and scalop edges.

There is also this old thread in wich Firefly5 shows how she made her own, but that's some architectural and engeening work!

I bought one from a UK seller, and it is hopelessly small on me, so am selling it on to a dancer with a little less embonpoint.

The seller nile_art has been super helpful and I would reccommend him, but unless you have boobs like two lentils on a washing board, you're going to need to go up at least 2 cup sizes.

Quality wise the one I bought is great- the cups appear to be bosom-shaped (just not my bosom) rather than some of the atrocities you find in Egypt. They are hard as nails and could probably stop a bullet. Mine was covered in black stretchy lycra, with very long stretchy straps that would be easy to cut down. The hardware (one lonely trouser hook) would need beefing up but that should be the first job on any costume!

Size issues for me too. 32DD Ordering one/two cup sizes larger is wise. Even then, I found the space between the cups too wide. I gave up and went back to covering the Walmart Bras.

I bought one of the e-bay ones and it was a bit small. (I'm a smallish D cup). I was able to add some ruched (sp?) fabric to the edges of the cups and now it contains my girls, but I think i would have been better off making my own.

I ordered a red "Dina" style bra on E-bay in D size because I'm a full C cup - and it is way too small and cups are too far apart and straps are so open on sides it is just not.working.for.me. It is well made enough for the price and was shipped fairly quickly from Cairo but I wouldn't buy one again. I'll just get a different red bra to cover with my red Assuit.

Thanks ladies! You have all been very helpful! I think I will just have to order one and see what i get! Unfortunately I am a bit lacking in the boob department so perhaps they will work for me! Fingers crossed!

for the too far apart issue it can be fixed- I cut the middle piece and sewed it back together so the cups were about an inch closer together and the boobs look fantastic!

Has anyone ordered from this vendor - egypttradediscount? They are advertising a DDDD bra. Im going to ask what the measurements are but if you have had experience with him please let me know.

There is also khan_el-khalily (but they only go up to a size 5 & I'm looking for 7's & 8's)

So I've ordered 3 all B-cups and the size looks about right except for the one which is slightly larger than the other 2 but it doesn't make much of a difference! The quality is great and I would recommend them. The side straps are elasticated too, so they aren't very long which may not work for the fuller figured ladies but otherwise they are great! :)
