I'm bumping this thread for bellydance fanatic....she wanted instructions how to make a mermaid skirt!

Sorry to be a pain, but, I have a question about the triange. What type of triangle is it, a right (90 degree) triangle or smaller, such as 45 degree at the vertex??

I have Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing. It was published back in 76. I think I got mine at a garage sale. I bet you could find something similar. It is great though. It tells you the proper names for everything. It tells you what type of needle to use on what fabric, and it has every sewing technique imaginable in it. You may want to own something like this if you don't use patterns. There has to be a newer version out there somewhere.
