TOTALLY. Slathering oil after a shower/bath is my "lazy moisturizing" routine.

Make sure it is unprocessed (usually labeled virgin). Hydrogenated coconut oil has lots of trans fats because it has been processed with high heat, but virgin coconut oil does not. Virgin coconut oil *is* high in saturated fat, so it should be used in moderation, but there is some suggestion that it is good for you for several reasons, one being enhancement of thyroid function in some individuals. There hasn't been enough research on this.

I'm on this coconut oil thing!! I want to find some. I used to put the jasmin scented variety in my hair.
Is it not normally solid, though? Do you have to give it some time or run under hot water to emulsify?

In addition to seconding Avalon, esp. Vegecol moisturizer, I find that Almay unscented deodorant doesn't set off my deodorant allergies (which get triggered pretty seriously by most natural-type products), and it has one of the shortest ingredient lists for these products, which is usually a good sign.

I use coconut oil in my and my daughter's hair. It leaves a beautiful lustrous sheen and gives you a tropical scent all day long. Love it!

After all the recommendations around here, I am happy to say that I've just bought a great Everyday Minerals kit. I loved that they had those little trial sizes so that you could find the right foundation color!

Now, if only I understood how you're meant to use these sifter containers. ..c::

I love the Japanese company that makes Boscia and Fancl -- preservative free and I believe fragrance free. I love their night moisturizer and the Fancl sunscreen is the best non-chemical one out there. You can buy the boscia line at Sephora. Juice beauty is also very good, and that is at whole foods. Aubrey organics makes wonderful inexpensive products.

Okay, I tried some of the suggestions here. I really like Boscia's Amino Eye Treatment. Goes on like a gel and doesn't absorb immediately, but keeps eye area hydrated all day.

Also, Juice's creamy Nutrient Moisturizer is great for my dry winter skin.

Tried Jane Iredale's liquid eyeliner and it goes on nice and doesn't sting my eyes like many liquid liners do, but it gets flaky if you touch it or try to apply any shadow over it.

My hands down favorite new item is Ojon's Ancient Tribal Rejuvinating Conditioner. It's wonderful for hair and scalp, and leaves you smelling like chocolate all day long!! Mmmmmm. Three thumbs up! :)
