Thread: First Photoshoot!!!!

I had my first photoshoot over the weekend and the photographer gave me a link with the pictures. I was really pleased with them and want to share:

Not all of them are "keepers" for me, but there are some really great shots. Since this was my first shoot, I sorta got stuck on what to do. I think next time I'll have a better idea of what poses and moves will look good on camera. It's very different - most of the moves I typically do don't look so great in pictures.

This was the first bellydance photography session that Justin (the photographer) did, and I think his eye is excellent. So if anyone in the Cleveland area is looking for a photoshoot, message me and I can put you in contact with him. He was very easy to work with and made me really comfortable.

They're gorgeous - really well done! I love that royal blue costume on you - it's so flattering. And the shapes your teal veil made - so fabulous.

The "shadow" series look so mysterious. I really like the pictures. #8 is cool!

Those pictures are wonderful - I can't believe it's the first time he's done a BD shoot. The lighting is to die for!

And of course, it doesn't hurt that you're gorgeous too.

Thanks everyone!! He is making a photo CD for me, and I will be using them for business cards and website. I'm pretty camera-shy so he did a really great job at giving me some instruction. He was happy to do shots of something other than a wedding :)

wow! #11 was worth the whole photoshoot - what an amazing image! all of your costumes are just gorgeous. :) but girl, you forgot your jewelry! where are your earrings??? :)

lol, I was wearing a necklace at first but I wanted to elongate my neck a bit more so I took it off and never put it back on...I am allergic to all earrings so I can't wear them and don't have any clip-ons because they'd probably fly off in performance ;)

OMG!!! Those are some FAB pics!!! #8 would make a great "enter here" web graphic for the first page of your website (if you have one).

Wow! Love love love the silhouette shot with the red veil on the first page (#8). I like how you are in shadow but the veil is fully lit. I also really like the first shot with the teal veils. Great job!

What a gorgeous set of photos! You must be VERY happy with how they turned out. And your red costume left me drooling! :)

I love love love the 2 "butterfly" effects with the 2 veils. Lush billows of color and movement with a serene you in the center...great emotional contrast in a visual context.

They are just wonderfull !!! give a very sweet and same time mysterious feeling to the viewer !!! wishing you many more to come.

You got So many usable shots out of that shoot... you're usually lucky to get a handful as good as pretty much all of yours are! Yay you!:-)
