I know, I know, mocking costumes is a delicate area here on bhuz. And I love Sahars and I love the Belly Dance Store. And I'm not easily shocked. But this costume cracks me up. ..l;,

Even if I were, I wouldn't be to the tune of $2,200! Yikes!

Dina's works on her mostly because she's Dina, but also I think her version is much nicer quality. I'm really pretty shocked at the price here, those hands look like gloves drawn by children.

The hands are NECESSARY to hold the cups on; it looks like without them the top would just drop off!
The choice of name makes it even more amusing; after all, what famous diva IS known for costume tops that look like they stay on by magic - or spirit gum - or something? ..g.:

My husband has often offered to do the same for me (though I think having him follow me around behind me holding his hands over my boobs would make dancing just a little difficult). ..l;,

Sad , this is just trashy . and the price makes me laugh . shame........

How in the WORLD is that price tag justifiable with this costume?

I agree! Tacky, trashy, and NOT worth the price. Our dance form has to deal with enough misunderstandings as it is, without crap like this.

I must say, though I would never wear it in a million years, I find it rather amusing...

I just can't see THAT being worth $2k. The skirt is pretty but the top...notsomuch. And I see more bling and handwork on my $800 Bella - less than half the price! Never thought I'd see it as a bargain, lol. How brazen to price this so high!

oh boy! I just had a flashback to a Siouxsie and the Banshees video from the '80s. They had costumes just like that! I think the 80s might wnat that bra back.

I agree, the hands are awful, both in idea and execution.
Without them it would be a cute costume, but nowhere near cute enough for $2200!

I found this cheaper alternative, only $5.95, and you could wear it over any of your existing costumes!

I like the costume! I tried it on last week when Shahrzad first got the new Sahars in and it was whimsical and very well fitting! I don't know that I have the personality to pull it off, but the beadwork is phenomenal up close!!

Right there with you babe...In fact I laughed so hard at a couple of them not only am I getting an ab workout, I'm doing kegel exercises too!!
