Thread: buying costumes in Bangkok...

Does anyone know where to go in Bangkok to buy costumes? I know there is an area where they have a pretty big selection (so I've been told) but I don't know where. I will also be hunting for ostrich feathers, swarovski crystals for body jewelry so any help in finding any of these things would be appreciated.

I can't say I've seen belly dance costumes in BKK but certainly there are 'show girl' type costumes (although I don't recall where I saw these) which cater for the 'ladyboy' shows. I'm sure if you head to one of the big shows for an evening and start chatting to the performers afterwards they'll let you in on some trade secrets.
