Shisha Mirrors
Hi,
Can anyone tell me where I can find various sizes of Shisha mirrors.
The kind that can be ironed over (not flimsly like paillettes).
And are there any crochet patterns out there, for making covers for the Shisha mirrors?
Thanks,
~Goth

Re: Shisha Mirrors
Oh yes! I have an awesome link. I'll find it for you.
as for finding some mirrors... do you have a pat catans? If not- they sell them there in packs of 10-ish for around 70 cents...so if you want me to pick you some up I can... I will be going there tomorrow.
depending on what size you want- you can also buy hotfix mirror studs online that you can iron on and they stay pretty good.

Re: Shisha Mirrors
Jenlindsey's link to the directions is perfect. I've tried a couple different methods and that one worked the best for me.
Places like Michaels and Walmart sometimes sell little mirrors- at really cheap prices...BUT you'd want to use an emery board or nail file and file down the edges- they're sharp enough to fray the thread pretty quickly.
I used to get mine from Pepperel Pepper Patch online- but I didn't see them listed anymore. A quick Goodle search for "craft mirrors" will bring up tons of options.

Re: Shisha Mirrors
Hi,
Thank you so much for your response!
If you can, please pick me up 40 round 1/2" mirrors, and 40 1-3/4" mirrors.
1st Class Shipping.
I can pay you through Paypal.
What can I do for you in return?
I crochet my own guantlets, if you're interested.
I'm limited to color combos.
I use DMC or Aunt Lydias crochet thread, and Darice 2-cut beads (I'll admit the Darice 2-cut isn't as nice as the ones from Egypt), or small round beads.
Done in the Honey Comb stitch, and I bead the verticle stitches as well as the horozontal ones (so it doesn't look like beaded stripes going around your arm). I've never tried adding fring.
Sorry I don't know how to post photos.
I tried writing earlier while you were still online, but I got bumped offline, by the time I got back on, you were off. :-
And email doesn't seem to work through Bhuz right now.
Thanks so much for the info too!
