Thread: Connect BHUZ and facebook with Facebook Connect!

YOur favorite BHUZ things can now appear on Facebook! Click on the F Connect tab at the the right end of the page just below the search box, and you will be prompted to connect your BHUZ and facebook accounts.

You will be able to send your favorite posts, threads, and blogs over to your facebook wall.
Isn't that cool?

This feature does NOT share any private information or personal data between the accounts - All it does is create an easy way for you to post your favorite BHUZ things to your facebook wall.

Just click the Like button that is above a post and a link to it will appear on your wall.

When you make a post or a blog, you will see a Publish to Facebook box below the edit box you write in. If you check the box, your post will appear on your wall.

This is a new feature, and we need members to test this for us. Let me know in this thread how it's working, and if there are any problems.

I'm still keeping things separate but maybe one of these days having everything connected will be the way to go - not for me yet.

Not sure how good this works. I got facebook login to come up and it asked if if could share info with bhuz . . . but then it wanted to replace some of my bhuz settings with FB setting . . . about me, location, mmm, something else . . . but these aren't a one-to-one with bhuz . . . don't think you want to know I am a Business Analyst IV on bhuz, lol. I told it not to link them at that point as I didn't want to wipe out that information.

BUT, I did click on "like" button and I see on FB that I have now "liked" bhuz.com :)

Thanks very much for this feedback! I have changed the settings, so now, no information is imported from facebook.

How does Facebook know which post you're liking? For a while there were buttons to "like" and "thank" for each post, but I'm only seeing one "like" button at top of the thread now.

The like and thank buttons that were on the site before are gone now - that software modification conflicted with another feature, so it had to be removed.

When I replied above, I should have said "when I hit the 'like' button at the top of this thread", it shows the topic link on facebook!!!

Cool! Being button clicking happy, I clicked it before I knew what it was. LOL Now that I know, cool!

I'm pleased to know that this is not an automatic login, given that I stay logged in to Bhuz and logged in to FB and logged in to Google, and I Do. Not. Want. Bhuz and FB, or many other sites I use and FB, physically connected.

Is it a problem if the new "f Connect" button is riding over the "crown" on the center Bhuz medallion on the header?

You are right about that. This connection merely means that you can show links to BHUZ posts that you like, as well as publish to your Facebook wall posts that you make on BHUZ.

There is no linking of your personal data at all.

It's not a problem, but it is annoying. If you do make the connection the button becomes much smaller. We may figure out a way to move the button to a less conspicuous place.
