Thread: Log in

I have had an account, with the same user name and password for years. I had to be off the site for a few weeks, then attempted to log back in. I could not log on-kept being told I had an invalid name or password. Of course, I was unable to be certain which password I was typing in since it's all asterisked.

I then attempted to have a new password sent to my email. the system told me that it didn't recognize my email-which I've had for years!

I finally gave in and registered as a new user-adding a second name to my old profile. I was unable to log in again this morning, and requested a new password sent to my email. I got that, logged in, and attempted to change my password to something I could remember-but couldn't because the page kept insisting that my passwords 'didn't match'. The last 2 tries I was doing a copy and paste, so I'm pretty sure they do.

Upshot-I now have an old profile which I can't access, and a new one that I'll be unable to access as soon as I log out. I have sent a number of requests for help as directed by the front page. This is probably the wrong place to post this, but I become frustrated.

How can I get back to my original account?

It might help to contact Rosey. Easiest way I know is to click on the triangle along the left, lower edge of any of your posts. She should be able to provide solutions.

Might be able to now; I've sent several during the whole fiasco when I wasn't able to log on and had to use the 'contact administrator' function.
