Samba/modern egyptian Fusion by Soraia
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GzoLaxIifc]YouTube - SORAIA ZAIED 2008 - DERBACK[/ame]
I like it a lot because the music itself is a fusion. It does not feel like she is trying to force the two styles together.

Wow. She really pulls that off.
As a musician, I enjoyed seeing the percussion ensemble as much as seeing her dance. They are HOT and so is she. She is really cute and very sexy but so professional that it's never sleazy.
It sure helps to be Brazilian, I guess! :-)

I was a bit distracted by the skirt though ,f:: Her legwork wasn´t to attractive at times
If she had worn a different skirt it would have been really awesome

She is a nice dancer.
But honoustly the combinaton of some of the movements, the very short skirt and incredible high heels unfortunately did look sleezy at times to me.
I'm a dancer myself so I'm just afraid of what the GP will think when they see this clip..

I saw this clip the other day and it is one of the RARE few fusion clips I really enjoyed. Very good IMHO.

She loves those shoes...
She had the same ones on last Monday when I saw her at City Stars. She is a lovely giving performer but the shoes restricted her movements and made her a little Jerky.
They didnt seem to have this effect in this clip though, I was very impressed with the fusion.

i had a chance to have a (ex. - can we even call that?!) teacher that learn from her and bring up a workshop with her style. I didnt have the chance to be there but i think Soraia got a very energetic way to dance that comes from her brasilian blood :0)

Re: Samba/modern egyptian Fusion by Soraia
I love just about anything Soraia does, this included. I really liked that skirt and the heels too..they go well with the Samba. I think she's just kind of goofing off a bit in this particular video and is throwing in everything that she can think of. She CAN dance lovely Egyptian style when she wants to.
There's something different about her face though, she seems to have completely changed her make up style.
Regards
Priscilla
