hehe, I am going to spain, yippie yippie, end of may, for some more aziza workshops. this will the be the first time i'm actually flying to take a workshop (well, and spain has other benefits of course, taking my boyfriend and having a little holiday too)

Artemisia, thats so cool! Which workshops will she be teaching in Spain?

I heard that Leyla is thinking about offering even MORE workshops with Aziza in Duisburg this year, maybe ten or so. *joy* :-) I'thinking about staying the whole week this time, driving up and down so many days gets expensive.. will depend a bit on the program.

hey
it's veil, drum, lower body isolations, upper body isolations. probably will only take the two isolations workshops, as my boyfriend will want to see me too (and it's his birthday around that time too, so i cant overdo it with the bellydancing i'm already soo happy he's agreed to come along).

in brussels she did a lot of nice new stuff as well (advanced drills, a drumchoreo and some great new veil work/mini choreo).

yes, leila will be offering more workshops overall, mainly because some of the workshops where getting a bit too crowded. are you doing the competition? i'm not sure yet

I'm considering it, but not sure yet..
On one hand I would love to get the feedback from the judges, given who the judges are this year :-) and its a great goal/motivation for practice.
But on the other hand I still feel too nooby to put myself out there like that, the name of the competition is a bit intimidating :-|

I hope the new stuff will be in the Duisburg program as well, I heard that the "Advanced fluidity" series was really good.

Have lots of fun in Spain! :-)

I love how she teaches from all sides, and her combos are my favorite on the Ultimate Combos 1 & 2 dvds. Her veil video really changed my whole relationshp with veil (used to hate it - now i love it).

I wonder if she'll ever do a tour of the US and do workshops in New England.

I LOVE Aziza.

Shes been here to atlanta twice as a guest instructor and I missed both chances to study with her because I had to work! I was sooo bummed. But I did buy her practice companion. Hopefully she will come back to atl someday soon.

Yeah she's the best. I'll be in Jamaica learning some smooth moves from her and Bahaia in May. I am soooo friggin' excited. And to top it off, my mommy is coming AND I'm gonna perform! YAY!!!

so jealous. i looked into coming to jamaica (and going for a week and combining it with our annual holiday or so), but we had problems at work to get that time off. (so it's spain instead).

Yeah her style is graceful and fun, and she has such an adorable stage persona! I'm bummed that I will miss the HOT Camp ( again!) but I will be opening a show at the theatre at that time. Still the workshops I've taken from her have been totally worth it. Love. Her.
