Well of course they do Pharonic-styled things. Egypt's big traditional industry is tourism and its biggest tourist attraction those damn pyramids, no? But oh, silly Dina is doing it all wrong! Are there other dancers that have used this? I can think of Asmahan but thats pretty much it... I do know that Fifi Abdu and the Reda troop once filemed themselves in front of the spinx but they did not have any of those silly tomb poses.

Dr Mo (who allegedly has a pyramid-themed apartment) did a Pharonic spoof once. I did once see some footage of the Reda troupe doing something vaguely Pharonic as well. But what I really mean is, Egyptian people often seem really proud of that heritage and like to link themselves back to it at times.

Haha yes I was watching it and then had to leg it to youtube to get a vid of Kenny Everett doing the same thing - ended up with the Rod Stweart parody and got lost in that instead lol.
