I'm going to a Bozenka Workshop!

I'm going to see Bozenka in Charlotte this weekend!!!! I haven't been this excited since the Aziza workshop last August. I love Bozenka and I can't wait to see her. She is gorgeous and inspiring. I remember the first time I saw her as the sub for Jillina at a BDSS show...she definately was worthy of being a sub! I can't wait to see her dance again.

I'll post a review after the workshop and show. The only thing that sucks is that I can't stay for Sunday because I have to drive back to teach dance class...but maybe I'll have some new things to show my students! Woo hoo!

She taught a wonderful shimmy workshop at Raqs America. I think she's a great teacher. And her performance in the show was magical.

So the Bozenka workshop was excellent. She is grace embodied. I learned so much at the workshop. She teaches precision and control, yet she still manages to stay loose and fluid. She might be my new favorite (still heart Aziza a lot though). Her performances were splendid. She did an arab-spanish-salsa fusion peice and she looked like a movie star from the 40s and she also did a wonderful gypsy-type fusion peice. Spectacular. It would have been nice to see her do some Egyptian like she taught in the workshop, but she is absolutely riveting!

One of the main reasons I like Bozenka as an instructor is that she is not afraid to correct you if you are doing something wrong. I really need that after almost 2 years of not having anyone to fine tune me.
Even in a workshop with her, you can get that benefit(as long as it's not overly full)

I would have loved to come to this workshop...but I couldnt get away this weekend w/ all my family commitments.....glad you had fun!

She'll be in my neck of the woods on the week end of August 8th, teaching workshops and also doing a theater performance in which several local dance groups will participate....including mine. Yay!

I would definitely take a workshop with her.

Bozenka was the guest speaker at a belly dance meet-up I attended and she seems to be genuinely nice. She talked about her experience as a BDSS. She was even gracious enough to actually pass around her gold crown that she had recently won in Egypt for each of us to look at and try on!

Bozenka is a graceful performer and A+ instructor. I take her workshops whenever I have the chance. You can learn a lot from her. Definitely one of my favorites!!!
