Sharon Kihara....her dvd is fab!! Im so in awe...and so inspired!!

She is literally my idol now. She is way way hot and sexy...such a strong yet feminine woman who moves so god damn wicked!!! I brought the dvd and she really helps explain how to do the arms and hips....I was so in love with bellydance but this tribal stuff has got me feeling so excited!!

I know she is probably so obvious and everyone now thinks im gonna be a rachel brice wannabe but I dont care....I am so amazed that at 25 I have been so inspired to change my life around and just dance!!! I cant have a career like them and I will never ever be that good but I have been bitten and I am never going to stop doing this now.

I do like sharon kihara an awful lot - I prefer her over rachel brice. I like her dvd as well - it's not my favorite (it's got its + and its -) - but I do like it.

Yeah she is much better than rachel brice...i think she dances with more feeling and strength...im so bhuzzing today im off to practise both my egyptian video and my sharon dvd now..

I'm not a tribal/tribal fusion dancer, but I really like the warm-up on Sharon's DVD. Is there a youtube clip you would recommend? I saw her dance at Raqs America but I was in my post-performance brain at the time and didn't retain much.

i don't know why, but i still don't "get" sharon. i have her dvd as well and i like some of the thing she does, but i still love rachel more... and i LOVE zoe (can't wait for an instructional from her)!

if you love tribal fusion so much, i'd say buy Fat Chance's dvd series (if you haven't done it already, of course)

I'm sharing your passion for tribal, cause I was bitten about 8 months ago by the bellydance bug!! I absolutely love the slow sensual moves of the tribal dancers. I have seen Rachel Brice's dvd, and just recently found and purchased Sharon's dvd on a trip to Chicago. Can't wait to check it out! ..g.:

As new as you are to all this, it would be a good idea not to get to overly besotted with one dancer so that you don't close yourself off to other dancers, other styles. There is so much to learn. Rachel Brice is a fabulous dancer who introduced a lot of people to tribal fusion. She has an incredible body of work and continues to inspire. Although tribal and tribal fusion are not my personal cup of tea as a dancer, I love watching and thoroughly enjoy both Sharon and Rachel, as well as many other tribal fusion dancers.

While you are in love with tribal and tribal fusion, it is also a good idea to explore the other areas of MED--raks sharki, Egyptian folkloric, Khaleegi, etc.--as it will only enrich your understanding and movement vocabulary.

It is all good.

Thanks girls...I have brought the fat chance dvds just gutted i will be in mexico when they arrive and i have to wait to see them but ive been watching tons of videos on youtube.
