I was fortunate enough to take a weekend workshop with her here in Vancouver. It was one of those life-changing weekends. She is truly an amazing woman and dancer. Nobody does what she does the way she does it! She is UNIQUE and thats what I love the most - the Nubian dance that she performed was stunning and something I will never, ever forget.

Ahhh yes Sahra!! I love this woman!! Such a class act in everything she does. She really makes us all step it up as far as doing Egyptian style dance and understanding where it comes from. We need her to educate us!! Anyone who cares about the history and preservation of this art form should take from her. She is truly an amazing person! We should all honor her and bow down to her knowledge.

I adore Sahra, I will always remember the first workshop I took with her at Folktours, she made me understand so many things in a few hours and i really like her personality.
I got so many chills when i saw her perform to sahra saeeda live when she was in Toronto.

I also was with Carissa in OH. for Sahra Saeeda. She is a very knowledgable, educated woman and took alot of time educuting we midwestern dancers about the regional dancers of the Middle East. Great stuff!

I adore her as well! She was in Denmark earlier this year and made a great impression on us all. So much knowledge and and generosity with it. And I loved how precise she was when she told what was authentic and what was artistic expression etc... She opened a lot of eyes here. If you know her, pleeaaasee tell her Denmark loves her

Oh, I'm a huge Sahra fan girl! She is the best of both worlds because she *has* the Egyptian style down plus she can communicate it in a way that is accessible and enriching. I have traveled to study with her about 5 times in the past 2 years, including JtE 1&2 (first class both times!) and I'm signed up for her weeklong intensive this summer! She is seriously my favorite teacher and also a wonderful woman.

Sahra is hands-down an excellent raks sharqi dance ethnologist & instructor--Her encouraging instruction style & sheer volume of knowledge contained in that woman is just so astounding!!! Why couldn't all my teachers (in grammar/high school & college) have been even an 1/8th of an instructor as Sahra??? I adore her - an utterly gorgeous woman inside and out. Can't wait to go to Egypt with her!!!

I am so jealous. I have been dying to take the JTE courses but so far none have matched up with my schedule. I have an undergrad in ancient histories and have always been a fan of Egypt and the Middle East with all its history and rich culture. Can't wait to do the classes:)

I got to meet Sahra with the gang in Columbus when Habeeba brought her here. I could have spent 6 months with her and still want to learn more. It was an amazing experience and one that I treasure.

I have only been able to watch Sahra on screen and have never been able to study with her,but I adore her style!

When Farida Fahmy visted Sweden some years ago,
she said that I reminded her of Sahra;
got curious and bought vids...and realized I need 500 more years of training to have the grace that Sahra has in one toe:)

She is an amazing person as well as an amazing dancer!!! Ive known her for 30 years now and never known a person to be more loving and creative. Ive been lucky to have her as a friend and dance mentor for most of my life!!!

Yes, Sahra is AMAZING!!! She is coming to Kingston, Ontario, Canada in a couple of weeks for her Journey Through Egypt seminars. So exciting!!
