Wow, so Karen Barbee performed at Columbus Ohio's Midwest Bellydance Extravaganza and I was blown away! Her isolations were so crisp and strong! Does she have a website? Anyone else seen her and love her?

She is an awesome dancer and teacher. I have a couple of her drill dvds and they are tough!

Karen has been a major influence on my dancer life... I've studied, performed and hung out with her for over 10 years now. I'm glad you got to see her perform. I've always thought of her dance style as being Fosse-esque... she's got the Middle Eastern community cred from her studies and performance experience but she's not precious about being an American cabaret dancer.

Glad there are Bhuzzers who have her CD... I was wondering how people responded to it. Those musicians are awesome!
