Aradia!

I just have to say, this past weekend was the first time I'd ever seen Aradia perform and she is my new favorite. She's awesome!! A fantastic, amazing dancer with tons of energy, she just sparkles. I took her drum solo class Saturday morning and thought, "Wow, she's great, like, really really great" and then I saw her perform at the show that night and was totally blown away.

I guess I will be going to Milwaukee in May then because Aradia
is the bomb! At the Vegas Intesive she rocked the house with
her solo and also with her troupe at Saturday nights show. Such a
truely beautiful woman inside and out. Thank you for the drum solo
choreo - we can't stop talking about it.

I have to say...even though Aradia and I have been in Vegas together for years (I kept leaving and then coming back), we have only really gotten to know each other since early 2007. Our paths had crossed within the community, but in "getting to know her" it took till last year. Having had a chance to be a part of her troupe, the RA Dancers, study with her and get to know her a on a person to person level...she is truly a wonderful and sweet person. She's down to earth, funny, honest, knowledgeable....I could seriously go on. As one of the directors of the Intensive this year - I can tell everyone that not only did I have more then several people tell me that she just blew their mind as a teacher, but, I can also tell you that as a show director/producer, she is one of the most easy going professional dancers to work with. Oh - I had one of my former students tell me at the "It's a wrap party" after the Intensive, that she wants to become an "Aradian" - cause Aradia is "Outta this world" - how cute is that!

Oh how cool that someone started a fan thread for Aradia. I can't believe it didn't happen sooner.

Aradia has been with the Vegas Intensive every year since its inception. She has been so easy to work with. It's nice to see her coming up in the world and getting some recognition. She's helping put Vegas on the map.

She's also a contributing organizer in the Vegas community and we are very excited about the workshops and show she is producing next month with Aziza of Montreal.

...."Aradian", eh? LOL. That's brilliant.

I was disappointed I couldn't get to her Arkansas workshop, but I was thrilled to learn she's going to be in St. Louis in January.

To me, she's the total package--technique, style and presentation. I also enjoyed the videos I've seen of her dancing with her troupe. A gorgeous group of ladies who move very well together.

Last night at our monthly Tribal Nights, hosted by TABU, Aradia performed 3 different folkloric dances for us:
Hagallah, Persian, and Saidi!

OH MY GOD.


She is just so amazing...I love watching all three of them...Saidi's my favorite, but...anyway.

Wonderful Job, Aradia. We are so blessed and lucky to have you here in Vegas. !!!

Aww, thanks ladies!! I love to do my folklore, (I've been officially named the BD/folklore geek in Vegas!!!) I don't get the chance often, so it was fun to wrap up in layers of fabric and dance, very different from life as an Oriental dancer!!

I'm on the ANAS cruise right now, I taught the Hagalla number I performed for you all, the girls loved it!! They couldn't walk after 2 hours of it, but they had a blast!!
