MAJOR love for Aziza

Just got home from a workshop with Aziza...my first with her.

I LOVE her!!! omg.

First of all, She performed beautifully in the "Essence of Arabia" show last night. She is such a sweetie, really a genuine person...her smile lights up the stage...she is so elegant when she dances...
*I think I have a little crush!!!* lol

So, the workshop today...SO much FUN!!!!
Aziza is a great teacher, she is very down to earth,and she explains and demostrates, answers questions without making you feel dumb...AND she made us shimmy for 21 minutes and 10 seconds. It was AWESOME. (I'm so adding that into my own practice.)

So...

Aziza...Vegas loves you. Seriously, bring your bathtub from your new house and move to Vegas! ;) Or at least come back soon.
It was a pleasure, and I learned so much today...but the one thing I think that will stick with me for a really long time is: Be Amazed. (that and peeing on the stage.) ;)

No, don't go to work!!! You cannot miss it!! i am normally very exigent when it comes to workshops and I am rarely satisfied but Aziza is my favorite!!! the workshops were so good I can hardly believe it.

My fave, too! At the end of weekend workshops when I am worn out, and I know she has worked ten times harder than I have (at least), and that it has been just one stop in her grueling schedule... And she still radiates nothing but deep love and joy for the dance, I have to believe she is the real deal. I've been to enough workshops to see how the instuctors' humanity shows through under such high demand conditions. That girl is a total pro, who dances from her very beautiful heart. I come away from her workshops feeling inspired and lucky to live in her time- she is truly a "Great."

So I´m jumping on to this thread! After spnsoring Aziza here in Sweden I really do have a totally new, bigger, deeper respect for her. I have never met a teacher who commits so much and is really there and accessable for her students. She is such an gem for our community!

OH, HECK YES Aziza is awesome.

It was her Rockin' the Casbah video that made me decide I just *had* to be a belly dancer. So Sassy! She was my first belly dance idol.

I had the great fortune of meeting her and taking a workshop with her back in February and it was magic. A little crush? Uh, yeah. You could say that.

It's hard to say enough about her - she's just that amazing.

Love, love Aziza. I took a couple of workshops with her and realized that I had a hundred years to go in my learning. Love her performance, love her DVDs, love her personality. One thing she said that I keep in my head all the time is that you have to think of the dance floor as a painter sees his or her canvas. Move about with purpose. On-stage, how do you get from point A to point B? That kind of rhetoric really resonates with me. I can see it. She's a true artist.

I love Aziza (and I'm not the greatest fan of US dancers- no offense I'm from the uk and my idols are very very firmly Egyptian and always have been BUT...) I loved her teaching and her performance and her just general loveliness.Love her to bits!!!

I hosted Aziza's event (workshops and show) in Portugal, in 2007. She's great! She stood a couple of days more with me, to see all around, and she's also a very nice person!
