    Shoshanna

Love this clip! I may buy the video to see this whole performance! (well, they all look really good, actually) http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZI6dS4eOOEg

You know, sometimes the "it" that people have can be lost on camera, but I can see her "it" loud and clear. I love her passion and interpretation, and how she has really developed her own sense of style.

I also like how she clearly perform Raks Sharki, but in an innovative way, and thats hard to do, I think. I hope Chellcy brings her in again for another workshop soon! Id like to take a choreo or technique workshop outside of the amazing 4 yard one. :vj:

Shoshanna is a great performer and instructor! I've always been especially partial to her "gypsy flavored" performances, where she throws in a bit o' turkish stuff. I've taken a skirt workshop and veil workshop from her a loooong time ago, and really enjoyed it. I see on her website that she's supposed to be coming to Wyoming in September(?) - so I'm really looking forward to seeing how she's grown as an instructor! :)

she also has an earlier performance video that she sells on her site, I've loved her since I first saw her on IAMED 4th Annual Awards, the first performance video I bought. She does a veil routine to Georges Lammam "Ahlam", absolutley wonderful.

of course, now my video/dvd collection is bursting out of the shelves, but what you gonna do when we keep having these wonderful things produced?..c::

Shoshanna has been one of my top favorite performers since I saw her at the BDUC in 95 I think it was. It might have been 96... I don't remember. *chuckles* I always wished that I could have done a workshop with her or spent more time talking to her. Maybe I'll get the chance some day. ;-)

    She is so graceful!
Her veil style reminds me a little of Eva Cernik who has some of the best veil work I've seen!
