    To Habibyaeni,
Randa's style has evolved into something very different from Dina and unique altogether. Her moves and posture are strong, powerful, and athletic. She is not goeey, she is kapow! Lots of modern dance and ballet influence, more than even the Reda style. She is incredible.

I agree! Very athletic indeed. Dina is definitely more about ooey-gooey and "feeling", although I think Randa has a lot of feeling in her dance as well. But it looks like Randa choreographs a lot of her dances. I love both Dina (for her style and her "antics") and Randa because of her powerful style.

The Farha Tour is coming to Sydney late 2008 look at yasmina of carios website I think for details , I think Ameras Palace has something to do with it.

and Randa is the lead act , to cool.

My friends who are 2 profressional dancers just had a private lesson with Randa in Egypt, it was expensive but they loved it xx

I do agree that Randa is more athletic than Dina. Both Randa and Dina insert a lot of emotion into their dancing. Dina's dancing is more soft, yet she has very strong and precise technique. Randa's dancing with powerful and hard and strong also with a lot of precision in her technique. All of Randa's dances are choreographed.

Does she have someone else do the choreography or does she do it herself?

I'm not sure. My guess is that she has some choreographies that choreographers have done for her and she has choreographies that she does herself. If you ask her, she will probably say she does all her own choreographies, which may be the case, but for many top dancers in Egypt, they also work with choreographers. I'd say its a combination of both.

Do you think Modern Egyptian is moving more and more towards the "kapow"? We had Sahara over here from Australia, and her style seems very modern Egyptian to me, with a bit of Lebanese bounce (every time someone asked her about something that was bouncy or a certain way, her answer was "it's because I'm Lebanese"), and she's kapow all the way. Part of it could be purely personality - she's young and muscular and full of energy - but it does seem to be a trend, no?

Yes, I agree. She started off very similar to Dina, but over the past few years she really developed her style. She is powerful and athletic and a very strong dancer. Her style now is totally different than Dina's.

I went to the IBCC 2007 conference in Toronto in April. Let me say Randa is not pillowy by any stretch of the word. She is incredibly fit! I have numerous photos of her in that red and black costume above to prove it :) Plus whoever thinks she's a Dina copy hasn't seen her more recent choreos. She has evolved into her very own unique style and showed us just how far the dance can be stretched. I think both Randa and Dina are evenly matched with regards to ability, HOWEVER, I think Randa is by far the better artist with an unmatched creativity in her choreography.

I walked right past Randa at Ahlan Wa Shalan. She was in street clothes. She seems to be actually thin. These costumes and moves and being on stage makes everyone seem bigger. Dina's pretty small too. They just look so voluptuous on stage. Also wearing a costume really tight will make you look bigger. I'm very skinny myself so I like that in costumes I look curvy usually.

Yes, I think so too. When I did a workshop with her in Oslo I didn`t recognize her from the advertising pictures, I was like "who is this little Egyptian girl" ..l;, I was really surprised to see her on stage the same night, looking twice as curvy. Regarding her breasts, I am not so sure she had them done. She did definitely NOT have silicone while in Oslo February last year, I saw her jump, they were real for sure Besides, those bras will do that to you. They are so padded, when I wear those, my boobs look enormous and fake, and they don`t move at all ..l;,
    I love Randa

I ordered mine from Farida Dance in the UK.
    http://www.faridadance.com/2006%20Ca...ghts%20DVD.htm

I think it's in PAL format, so you need to make sure you can view it either through your computer or all format DVD player.

I like Randas figure, and also I notice, that when I am feeling a little bit overweight, and like I am slightly spilling over my costume, it is then I get the complements from Arabs on my figure. As my b/f keeps telling me, curves and a tummy are feminine thing. I agree that Randa has evolved, there is more softness in with the balletic energetic stuff, her English is better, she is a better teacher than 3 years ago. She is spellbinding to watch.

I think Randa has a beautiful body, she's full figured (which is a good thing, she's got meat on her bones) and there is something about her thats gorgeous. However, I agree that her choice in costumes doesn't flatter her figure at all, the red costume just distorts her body instead of enhancing her curves. Aside from the costume, my opinion is the belly chain isn't a flattering accessory to wear for pretty much anyone. Aside from all that she is a favorite of mine.

I love her performance style but her costume choices really don't flatter what is actually a bangin' body. As someone upthread said: it's all about the too-small costumes and the waist chain dragging her look down.

Me too!! Wiggle and Liza have described Randa perfectly! She's a class act with a great body, attitude, and so much talent! And on top of that she's a real sweetheart in person.
