Sabah
Does anyone know anything about this dancer? Do you like her? I just know that she wears mainly Hallah Moustafa costumes and that she trained with Hallah. She is part of the belly dance superstars and she does the en pointe dancing. I have seen many still photos of her. I think she is from the USA, but have never seen her dance...

I am curious, too...I think she may be from Illinois b/c she has a workshop on layering next month, but also because I've seen ads for classes w/a Sabah somewhere here (IL). I've been wanting to ask if Sabah BDSS is the same as the Sabah in (southern?) Illinois?
Christina, can you please post/email me the links where you saw her still photos...? I haven't even seen those! I couldn't find her on the BDSS site (but with my defective eyesight, could very well be that I just missed her!:)).

I think she's from the Chicago area, actually. There used to be a clip on (I think?) youtube of her pointe/BD fusion, it was wonderful! I don't have the link anymore though. Have you searched youtube for her?

Sabah is a BDSS from Chicago, I take lessons with her when she is not on tour.
It is true she is friends with Halla and wears her costumes. The studio where I teach is sponsoring her for the Layering Technique workshop.

Sabah is amazing and we are blessed to have her in our area. She is such an incredibly graceful and fluid dancer.

I've seen many still photos of Sabah on Hallah Moustafa's web site because she wears some of Hallah's designs. They are in the dancer's photo gallery. There are also photos of Sabah on Yasmina of Cairo's web site because Yasmina does photography and also wears Hallah's costumes. So on Yasmina's web site (www.yasminaofcairo.com), photographed Sabah wearing a Hallah design. Also, on the belly dance super stars photo gallery there is at least one photo of her doing belly dance en pointe and she is flying in the air wearing a two piece blue mini skirt costume. Its an amazing photo!

Along with Sumaya, I have been taking private lessons with Sabah when she is not touring. I cannot even tell you how much of a difference classes with her has made in my technique, especially my arms. She is coming back to Chicago this week and I can't wait to start up with her again!
I can't make her layering workshop because I'll be at the IBDC that weekend, but I highly recommend her as an instructor and a dancer.

Sabah is fantastic! I took her Drummer/Dance Connection class a few years back, some privates, and will take with her again here soon. She is a beatiful dancer, great instructor (I credit her with helping me get over a big plateau in my dancing), and a lovely person to boot! If you get a chance to take a class from her, you will be happy you did!!!

Sabah's web site: http://www.sabahsaeed.com
If you go to her photo gallery, the red two piece costume, the assuit dress and the costume at the bottom (the isis wings bra with pink skirt) were all made by Hallah Moustafa.
