Thanks for the clip also! She was an amazingly strong dancer. Everybody who saw her would say how mesmerizing she was.
There is a very nice film of her dancing at the end of "Ibrahim Farrah presents Rare Glimpses: Dances from the the Middle East vol 1." Of course that was the only volume he made, but if anyone has this go look at it again and if you don't have it, I highly recommend getting it. I show it to all my students as he shows other historic clips.
Anyway, so far this is my favorite clip of Nadia's dancing. You can see how powerful she is. And she is wearing a pink 'I Dream of Jeannie' kind of outfit. The clip is titled "La Danse Orientale Classicque" and was filmed in Lebonon in 1971 according to the video. Maybe it is on youtube too, I don't know, but either way this whole video by Bobby Farrah is worth having, and this is the best part of it.

I really enjoyed this clip...the subtitles aren't something I've seen too much of. There seems to be some debate if the dancer is Nadia or Samia Gamal...Any ideas??? (and probably not the first time it's been posted) but I know it's titled as Nadia and Sabah...

It looks like her from a distance (hairstyle mostly??) but I don't see the armwork and other moves I associate with Samia. But I'm certainly not an expert on all the stages of her development as a dancer, this could have been before her signature style 'gelled?'

if that is sabah who is now in her 80's she is an awsome lebenese singer so it would probley be nadia since she danced in lebenon
