I love the Russian dancers. They have so much energy and spice! I always marvel at their unique interpretations of the music they choose.

I remember that her dancing has been discussed here on Bhuz before. Some felt that she lacks emotion and connection to the music in her dance. I think she is fabulous. She is a very technical dancer and I can definitely see her connecting to the music better in her latest videos.

I think she's great. She's very choreographed but well, that's a feature of Russian dancing it seems. I like the polish of it with these dancers. I dunno - it's different than American highly choreographed numbers somehow.

As going all the time at NileGroup and keep in mind that 1/3 of the students are russians I've seen many.
By far the more enjoyable for me and I've seen her live also is Jasmin.
I just love her dance spirit, the relaxed way she dance and the amazing "easyness" she gives in teqnical things.
The bad thing with russian dancers is that not many speak fluent english so dont have the pleasure to speak with them as much as i would like.
But with the ones that speak we have the greatest dance conversations.
Just 2 things that all the times we chat with the girls are that most of the russian dancers tend to have an "athlete" attitude for bellydance, and also the speed thing.
Teqnical on my opinion are the best group i've seen, the feeling is missing.
Thats why russian dancers that have the feeling (like Jasmin, and Nour ofcourse) just rock !!!

check on youtube for "realcowboywayne" he has just about every russian dancer known to man. good vids. some are a little trashy but overall he has or HAD a good selection.

Thank you for posting the videos, they are beautiful dances. I read about them on the other thread, and I love the way they dress. Very feminine, and not too over the top in my opinion. They also have the body to wear more revealing costumes.

I've seen that clip of Irina Popova before and I just love it. Its not easy to be so earthy and so elegant at the same time, yet it just looks very natural to her.

I found out about belly dance popularity in Russia and started following russian dancers when I moved to the States, so I don't know where to get her DVDs. There are couple russian dancers here on Bhuz, maybe they can help. Also I could brouse through russian belly dance forums and see if I can find some info on her DVDs.

Just watched that Natalya Strelchencko Laylet Hob again. I've been pretty disenchanted with BD lately but that woman makes me want to dance. She is so elegant to watch and dances as though part of the music going on. I love her style. If she was here, I suspect I would run to her class disenchantment or no.
