Cory Zamora!

what a weekend! a show on saturday night, i got to share the stage with cory (insert fangirl squee) and bunch of other fabulous santa cruz area dancers. cory was brilliant, totally captivating! she has more stage presence in her pinky than i have in my whole body on my best night. i literally could not take my eyes off of her. just stunning... and she can work a crowd!

then, there was a workshop on sunday. she jokingly calls herself a dinosaur, but she truly is a living history of bd in the us. i could pick her brain for hours. we did arms movements, veil wraps, veil work with finger cymbals ..c:: , 9/8 steps with finger cymbals. cory's a very patient instructor, and lovely down-to-earth lady. i may have to take a road trip to fresno before next year...

janelle and siwa are planning next years week end, in feb!
the show venue was awesome, thanks to aruba. i love working with you all, so relaxing, calm, friendly! not at all like here, lol.
emtinks solo was my highlight.i have not seen many of my online friends dance live.i got misty eyed, you are a joy to watch!

Oh, wow! I wish I'd been there! I'm very much looking forward to taking from Cory again in July; she is an inspiration. If any of you get the chance to take classes from her long-term, do it! It's definitely worth it.
