Aaahhh just had 2 wonderfull workshops with her yesterday....

And looking forward to the ones this saturday and sunday. I'll have to get up way too early in the morning, but it's worth it :o)

Definately my 'dance crush'! I'm so excited about the new DVD and can't wait to get it (cash flow permitting). I just love her flow and showmanship.

Took 2 workshops with her last year in Edinburgh. I couldn't keep up for toffee and nearly wrote myself and the car off on the way home but it was sooooo worth it and those few hours have continued to inspire me since.

Yay!

i love aziza and hope to take a workshop from her one day (come to orlando! hehe). i love a dancer that can be playful and have fun with herself, where your dancing reflects your personality. i cant wait to get her new dvd!

I'm reviving this thread, because Aziza was here in Minnesota for 2 days of workshops (Northland Belly Dance Forum), and it was SO MUCH FUN! She was just beautiful in her performances, and I got so much out of her workshops! They were simply wonderful. I love her style, her elegance, her sense of humor, her way of explaining things- I love HER! At one point, I said to her "you know you're the cutest thing ever, right?" and she IS!!! I took pages of notes, lots to work on, bought her new dvd- what a wonderful time! She's in Wisconsin later this year, and I wish, wish, WISH I could go! Aziza, if you see this, I really hope you come back to Minnesota soon!

Amara is right... I was at Aziza's workshop in Minnesota and she is FABULOUS! She talked a little about her Dreamcamp. If I could figure out how to get there this year I would... but that doesn't look like an option so planning for 2011 since she has the dates for next summer posted already.

Aziza, if you see this... THANK YOU!!! You are amazing!

Oh wow! I've said it before, but I'll say it again! I adore Aziza!!! How amazing can a person be???

I took 2 more WS this weekend (I think it's only my 5th & 6th time, but I am hooked...)

They were, again, amazing!

The first was about performances (3h WS) in which she talked about an hour. I could listen to her stories all day! She was totally funny as well LOL. But everything she said already feels like it'll help me in the future.

The other WS (2h) was about improvisation. I absolutely wanted to take this one, cuz I can't improvise and I NEED to work on it. And wow, she gave some really great ideas!

Of course, her performance was incredible as well! (it was the jury show at the competition Bellydancer of the World in Duisburg fyi...)

Now, I have to start saving to get to her dreamcamp!!!!!!

Props to Aziza as a teacher!

I took two workshops from her in October... even though her style is not really my style, the workshops were really great. She's very organized with her material and knows how to teach it. For the drum solo workshop she had pre-burned a dozen tracks, each starting at a different point in the song. She's quick to see when people aren't "getting it" and answers questions graciously. I bet if you could take classes from her weekly you would be a HECK of a dancer. I loved the combinations workshop too, though I'm now looking at my piecemeal notes and going "huh"!? (I lost my little notebook and was taking notes on my iPad. I Do Not Recommend This.)

Excellently run workshops. I highly recommend!

I love Aziza!
I've taken workshops/classes with her before (yay for her being in Montreal) but I took another workshop with her yesterday and it was simply AMAZING. She made us push our limits, we did a bunch of combinations, but also worked with weights (we shimmied for weights for around 10 minutes...) and I can say I'm sore all over today, and feeling totally inspired. We have another workshop coming next saturday, too.

Aziza is the most adorable teacher I've met. I'm considering taking private classes with her on a monthly/semi-monthly basis... just need the $$$!
