Khalidah at the African Fest, Chicago

Okay so she's my main teacher and i'm biased but last night Khalidah's North Afrikan Dance Experience performed at the African Fest in Chicago. They blew the crowd away. It was such a great show. The company performed Tunesian, Saidi, Contemporary Egyptian and Khalidah did Nubian. It was such a great show. The crowd was screaming for an encore. I can gush because I didn't perform, but I have to tell you, they were awesome. I wish I had a video. Did any Chicago Dancers see the show? They were on the main stage a few acts before George Clinton. It was a great cap to a wonderful weekend...l;,

LOVE KHALIDAH! ...Ever since I first met her a few years back when she brought Dr. Sunyatta Amen to the Chi! :) In fact, ALL of you in the Dance Company are fantastic (I'm specifically remembering when you all performed at Mohammad Shahin last year at Alhambra Palace). Wish I coulda been there to see this--If you get video clips, pretty-please POST!

Thanks Ladies. Khalidah doesn't allow video of performances usually. If I find one i'll have to ask her permission. But there are videos on the website.
