What does everyone think of Maria's dancing/teaching? A friend and I are thinking of hosting her in Toledo in November. Has anyone taken with her or had a workshop with her. I really admire her videos (and gorgeous cossies) but I have never seen her in person.

I've only been taking classes with Maria for 4 months, but I think she's fabulous. Her dancing is beautiful and inspiring, and as a teacher, she is very sweet and encouraging. I'll miss her while she's in Toledo! ;)

Hello!
I actually take classes from maria twice every week. My mother and i took maria for about 3 months 2 years ago, she was so kind and FUN. My lil sister and i now take classes regularly going on a little past one year.
Have her come, she's amazing! If you like what you see in video you will absolutely LOVE in person. It is a treat to be able to work with Maria on a weekly basis.
She is a goddess of belly dancing!

I have been Maria's student for a little over a year now. You have no idea just how great of a teacher she is. Not only has she inspired me immensely, it's thanks to her motivation that I got the courage to start performing solo. She is a terrific performer, it's no wonder she won "Bellydancer of the Year". She is graceful down to the last shimmy, no joke! I can guarantee you will not be disapointed! She's not only beautiful...but she's also the sweetest person ever!

That is awesome:) I am going to be out in San Fran/Oakland in February so I am going to try and drop in on a class and catch a performance. I have my first doctoral residency the 18-22nd so I will be in town:) Yeah! Can't wait:) Thanks so much for the insight. We are going to host Maria November 12-13th:)

Maria's a beautiful dancer and a beautiful person. I highly recommend her!

Maria is awesome! You all will have a great time with her! I've studied with her a couple of times. She explains concepts clearly and keeps things fun and interesting. As you can probably tell from the videos she's a fabulous dancer--even her warm ups are pretty!
