    Thanks for saying Raks East wouldn't be the same if we weren't there - that means so much.
    She was so adorable! She has grown!
    I know Jahzaal is on here: Loved, loved the mother and daughter part after Anya did the cane number and you hugged her up. The crowd said awwww.

    Makeda,
    I sent you a PM earlier, but I think you have answered my question.

    Ha! That's the truth! I don't think "cute" could ever be used to describe her.

    Awww Thank you. I am very proud of my baby. Yes she has grown A LOT!!!! Everyone tells me all the time that she is going to be taller than me. I hate to say it but they are right. ..l;,

    I haven´t (yet)been able to see Lotus live,or study with her but I just want to say why I was blown away by her:
    she has a strong,yet vulnerable stage persona showing me something that is too rare;
    being Very Human instead of Inhuman i.e "tic-toc-lic-locks","look how many layers I can do on top of each other","1 million barrel turns" etc.

    IMHO too many dancers I see strive for robotic technichal "perfection" treating performance as an ego trip,barely taking note of audience enjoying themselves.

    Not Lotus-I feel that she throughly enjoys being on stage,entertaining her audience and drawing them into her world.

    Emma-bessa, thanks for reviving this zombie thread! I just want to add that since I started this thread, the drummer I mentioned, Mohcine (sorry, misspelled his name in the first post) has developed into a strong and capable drummer, and he's a lot of fun to perform with!
