She is great! I took Level 1 from Hadia at Tatika's Treasures. I enjoyed it very much. I'm a part time massage therapist as well. Hadia is very knowledgeable in this dance as well as massage therapy. Using her therapist education to help other dancers know what muscles to execute an oriental dance move is a great advantage in teaching. She is very thorough. I wanted to take from her when she was at Nadirah Johara's, but my husband had heart surgery. If you ever have the opportunity to take from her Do!!!!

Hadia is soooo amazing! What a dancer! What a teacher! What a choreographer! She continually blows my mind with wonderfulness. There are lots of great dancers who work very hard at their art but Hadia is master above them all. She's just got it - and freely shares with all who want to study with her. Wow. Just so "wow."
Maha, how did you find this footage of her on youtube? I thought she preferred not to be on there but maybe she's changed her mind. Anyways, a treat to watch her dance, as always. Where was this filmed? Montreal with Fadi's band and then, Turkey?

Trufax: my teacher had a trip to Canada when she was a baby dancer and was promised a lesson with a teacher there. It could have been any random teacher at all, since she knew nothing about who was who, but by a complete stroke of luck the teacher was Hadia. So Hadia was a big influence on us. She took as many lessons as she could, bought videos etc.

I'm so glad I saw this post today! Hadia is coming here for some workshops in June, and I'm definitely signing up for both days! I don't know a lot about her, so thank you for all of the enthusiastic comments. :)

The workshop I took with her I'll never forget. She teaches that dancing can be much less stress on our bodies than people think. And her funny antics that you have to make when doing a move, i.e., when you bend back, you have to pretend you are removing a gun from your hipster and go POW! just made all of the moves that much more fun to do.

I am so fortunate! The only two instructors in my immediate area are Hadia trained, (Hi Hala!), and I have had the great fortune of taking a couple of workshops with Hadia at Hip Fest this past fall. One of the best things about Hadia, (besides that she is an amazing dancer and person), is that she really understands physiology and teaches how to dance safely/ She wants you to be a better dancer and she is quick to help you correct your technique so that you don't hurt yourself and can learn the move properly. The workshops I attended were not master or instructor workshops; I'm still a student and I was in a workshop with a real variety of levels. Hadia was great at being able to cater to everyone. I highly recommend that if you have a chance to take a class with Hadia that you do so.

I took her level 1 Teacher Training back in November and took a private with her as well, she was phenomenal! I learned so much, even in a one hour private she really helped me with the way I heard/felt the music and how I could interpret that in my dancing.

Look forward to studying with her more, she'll be at the IBCC in a few weeks :)

Hadia is a true GEm! I have to say she in one of my "mentors" as close as one will ever be. I study with her as much as I can given our geographical boundaries and her extensive world travel! I've been through her teacher training and the woman is so talented and gifted! Take from her whenever you can!

Hala Jamal - It has been difficult to find footage on YouTube of Hadia, but I suspect, given that the username who posted this video is "HadiaDances", perhaps this is Hadia's own posting of a video?

Hadia is a legend. My own bellydance mentor, Amarna, studied extensively under her while she lived here in Calgary. Her dance is exceedingly moving and filled with that gooey emotion that makes this dance so expressive!
