I will be forever thankfull to Nelly's daughter for putting this up.
I went to many of Nelly's workshops and this was exactly her teaching style: "Come on, you are a wonderful woman!" ..g.:
She taught us so much more than just dance steps.
It warms my heart so see this.
Good memories....

Nelly was such an extraordinary personality!

Prof. Khalil mentioned Nelly Mazloum in one of our courses in Cairo and I did more research on her when I returned to Canada. Her "voice" speaks to me in ways that many others' don't. In the same way that I experienced learning with Prof. Khalil, I find Nelly Mazloum's concepts brilliant, insightful, and spiritual, her quotes eloquent and soulful, and I *had* to purchase her book Oriental Dance Technique which I find very inspirational for my own dance journey and in preparing for my classes.
