Hi,
it seems like Randa is currently the favourite modern Egyptian dancer in the worldwide bellydance community.

I went to a workshop of hers and was amazed at her strength and flexibility, and when I saw her on stage I saw something physically so powerful I was used to see when watching flamenco, and that appealed to me very much - not this flirtatious cutie-pie thing I found so cheesy then, but something that totally appealed to me (who was relatively new to bellydance (second year then, fifth year now).

I started watching all her youtube clips. I so like the crisp core moves of hers and her "karate arms" and if there's an instructional dvd I would want of her, it would most definitely be her fitness workout. She to me really introduced the element of fitness/bodybuilding into bellydance - not that others wouldn't work out, too, but on her I find it really sort of springs to the eye.

I used to think of her as a very physical dancer with a truly gorgeous face, but not so expressive, that is: her beauty really never gets boring to look at, but facial expressions were rather reduced.
Lately she started displaying more emotions in her face. Just there I watched clips of hers where from far away I thought I'd see Dina! And I thought why? Early Randa resembled Dina, but then went for her own style...
I'm not blaming for copying or so. But there's a change happened with Randa's emotional display and extrovert communication.

And Randa is near! I hope I'll make itttttttt!

The second video in the first post is absolutely captivating. I have been unsure for a while as to how much I like Randa but now I know!

Here's a clip with a recent interview, in which she states that no, no fitness, no yoga, no other but dancing.

How does she do it to appear so strong and muscular? Just dances with a lot of tension/muscle engagement, I mean useful tension, not bad tension.
