Randa Kamel videos

A few months back, someone on this board (sorry, can't remember who) said she was planning on producing an instructional video with Randa Kamel. Anyone know if that is still on track and when the dvd might come out?

In the meantime, can anyone recommend their favorite performance dvds of her? I know Little Egypt has a couple, but I've heard their workshop videos are poor quality for the price. I'm wondering if the performance videos are the same way.

I think she is taking advanced orders for the one that is due to come out soon . . . this month, maybe?? She also is producing instructionals for Leila (of Cairo) and Diane Tarkan (just in the LA area).

Sorry I cannot recommend any but I have the Randa in Miami may 2006 dvd by Little Egypt and unfortunately can confirm the dreadful quality of both image & sound

Oh goody..g.: ! Thanks for the info. Catherine. I would love to get some instructionals from Diane Tarkan. I always admired her dancing from the Raqia Hassan videos.

I have the Masters of Egyptian choreography DVD and I can't recommend it enough. The quality is fine, Randa instructs in Arabic with an English voice over (but you can still hear her counting in Arabic!), and there are DVD extras of some live performances, which I think are good for footage shot in a nightclub, and an interview, which is not quite such good quality.
