I'm visiting Phoenix from Banff, Alberta. Saw Helena perform 2 nights in a row at the Bacchanal in Tempe. Wow. Wow. Wow. She is so inspiring, personable, elegant and fun. A true goddess. I love her clean technique, commanding stage presence, graceful confidence and sense of fun. When I watch her dance it reminds me that Oriental Dance is beautiful as is - no gimmicks required!

she worked at the arabian nights untill it closed in 1968. many older hyes remember her well. when i started working here, i was always asked if i rolled quarters!

I live in Phoenix, and boy do we feel lucky to have her here. I'm in her troupe, so Helena is my muse, mentor, teacher and friend. I can't say enough about what a class act, an inspiration and wonderful generous spirit she is. She has more energy than all of us put together and kicks all of our butts in class! And she is just divine to watch.

Yep I have been attending her classes here in Phoenix for many years and she truly is one of the finest dancers.... it's a privilege learning from her. Her style is not easy to emulate though!
