I think it may have been New York...At least I know that Layla Isis and and Yasmine were both in that film and they are New Yorkers.

I'm not sure who else was in the film as a belly dancer, but then again, I haven't watched it yet. It is on my list...

It was also filmed in Marrakech and somehow managed to make the Square of the Dead look all shiny and the souk like a shopping mall. I only bought the DVD to look at those scenes and what I saw didn't entice me to watch anything else.

And of course you have Sex and the City fans arriving from the West thinking it's just like that...hehehehe
