She truly is a lovely dancer. It's something about her precise fluidity and her natural charm. Not to mention, she was quite a sport when New York's date "The Entertainer" was heckling and being a jerk on I Love New York ..l;,

Any of you been lucky enough to study with Aubre? I'm dying to take her upcoming Fosse Fusion and Oriental choreography workshops in NJ!

Aubre is an amazing person and an incredible dancer. I've studied with her a little (not nearly enough) and am excited for her lyrical taxim workshop next weekend.

Wowwwww, that sounds like a great workshop! I just think Aubre has such a beautiful energy about her and a very cool style. Didn't she study predominantly with Suhaila? That would probably explain a lot of her clean technique and the super fluid way she moves.

On another note, I just took a glance at your profile and I'm so jealous of the list of instructors you've studied with. I can't farking WAIT to move to Cali. Such an abundance of talented dancers out there.

Oh, yes, you must take a browse through Belly Dance Teachers in Los Angeles to see who you want to move next to when you get here. ;)

Aubre does Suhaila format (certified level II, I think?) but she's also studied a lot of cabaret, and was in Zahra Zuahir's troupe for a bit. She's also a pilates instructor, all of which contribute to her very unique way of interpreting music and defining it on her body. Her new troupe is doing some really neat stuff too.

My move probably won't be for another few years or so. Funny thing is, I already have started scoping out the dance scene out there....figuring out who I'd like to study with and whose neighborhood I'll be moving into ..l;,.

Seems like everybody who's everybody has studied with Zahra Zuhair at one point or another. Can't wait until ZZ comes to NYC next weekend!
