    Bellydancing in Egyptian Cinema NEW YORK

    MARCH 10-13

    Anyone interested in bellydancing as it was done in the 50s and 60s should check out the New York Arab South Asian film festival this year. All the films include several bellydancing numbers.

    There is a whole section on bellydance!

    I would love to see the movies Shafiqa al-Koptiyya and Bamba Kashshar! I wish I was local to you so I could go!

    I HAVE seen the other three, and definitely recommend them.
