I seldom see good parody of belly dance..and this one is the best! I have gone back again and again..and I still find it amusing..so here you go....

There's a video on youtube where Dina is being interview about being married and the same comedian does a parody of her in the interview in the next clip.

Goes to show that she is so big (popularity wise) that people not only imitate her on the dance circut but in parodies.

Great stuff, Meissoun! Although I'm currently working through a solo to Taht il Shibbak and assiduously avoiding all Dina vid clips, I've seen enough of her imitators to understand what you're doing! (How sad is that??)

My teacher, Latifa, explains the drunken lurch as a broken arabesque. Take the last count of the arabesque (the 2 in the 1, 1, 2 timing) and really shift the weight forward, leading with one shoulder, almost to the point of falling. It is a very fun move, once you get the hang of it!
