Thread: Styles of Belly Dance Primer - what have you guys already put together?

Hello Beautiful Dancers,

I'm putting together a "styles of belly dance" primer for my students, but I want to know what you guys have already put together, so I can link to it, draw from it etc. Also if you are willing to donate use of any of your great photos for an example of costuming for various styles of belly dance.

I'll be looking at doing a folkloric dance primer later so if you have good resources for that I'd love it.

Well, there's the 3-part series on my web site at Belly Dancing: About M.E. Dance--Its History, Cultural Context, Dance Styles on styles of belly dance in the U.S.

The final article in the series needs serious updating - I went through the first parts and refreshed them, but on the final I got only as far as the costuming part and I still need to get back to it. But everything BEFORE the costuming section is reasonably current.
