I will be suffering from a severe case of the jitters as well. I am glad that I am not the only one. I look forward to meeting you there!

I'll be there an dancing too! I haven't seen the light of day (tax seaon ends today-YAY!) and thus you may not see me I am so pale. Plus I haven't danced in so long. 60+ hours a week in a chair-yuk!

me three! ,r:; ..c:: ..g.: I'm performing in the showcase as well--somehow I thought this week had more days in it than it does...

My very first solo sharqi performance was at a birthday bash for Morocco a few years back, so this is sentimentally important to me.

HOW MUCH FUN WAS THAT!? And I got to meet so many bhuzzers, and reacquaint myself with old friends.

    Thanks, everyone.

Yes, it was truly a great success! I thought it was really well-put-together, with the food, the tables, the way the sets were done (not too long, not too many dancers, just right). Of course, there was the music issue, but not everything can be perfect.

It was nice to meet all the folks from Maine.

Amity looks like a 40's film star and dances very very very well.

Kahaz has a wonderful sense of humor and the best version of Aziza I've ever heard.

She also makes the cutest most blinged out pirate I've ever seen.

Erin did a lovely job on her solo and looked great in her teal costume!

Badriya looked lovely in lavendar and really became Bint al Beled during her piece.

Nepenthe rocked 'em with her music choices / interpretations and showed her gauntlets whose boss. :-)

Morocco and Tarik both made me break a sweat and wish I had a dance partner.

I bought nothing but music, although I was very seriously tempted by Magical Fashions, whose website I will have to visit when I have saved some pennies up.

All in all, a fun, if exhausting weekend.
