Thread: New Evening San Francisco Beg Arabic Classes to Start 6/9

Just wanted to let anyone in the SF Bay who's interested in taking beginning Arabic classes that there is an evening class starting 6/9 at ABC learning center in the City. I had originally been looking into Pacific Learning Center but the schedule never works for me. So far there are only 3 people enrolled, including myself, and they need a minn. of 4 max of 10 to run the class. Here's the link if interested:

Thanks for posting this -- I didn't know about ABC. I'm still considering Pacific, but I might be interested in this class. Only problem is that I might go out of town for a week during July, so I'd have to miss a class session. But that's not definite yet, so you might see me there.

P.S. Always glad to see more Arabic classes in SF. Very sad that City College canceled their beginner community class. :(

I'd be interested, but already invested in the Rosetta Stone ....

I don't.... They won't send me actual full class details until the census hits at least 4. I actually found them after a really exhaustive search. When I know more, I'll let ya know. I am really looking forward to the small class size though

I invested in one also, but no matter how much I try to convince myself.....I just don't like independent learning. I love the interaction..g.:

Cool, keep us posted. I have taken lots of classes at Pacific Arabic Resources*, they have some really good teachers (and very small classes, especially as you advance beyond level 2, and for dialects that are not Palestinian).

Doesn't UC Berkeley Extension still offer classes?

That's good to know especially since I want to get into the Egyptian dialect ASAP. I didn't check w/ the colleges because in my past experience most language classes meet 2-3 times per week and that doesn't work with me schedule....
