Thread: Anyone teaching in Paris, France?

Just a feeler . . . I might get a 6 month assignment based in Paris . . . of course, it probably won't work out, lol, because the minute I ask about it . . . it will turn out that they don't want to pay from someone to come from overseas . . .but I am asking for more information thru the channels.

For some reason I am feeling that now is the time for an overseas assignment . . . and besides, it is many hours closer to Cairo, lol.

OMG! Leila Haddad!! She is amazing...

For sure!!! MUST take as much with Leila as possible!!! We had the great fortune of having her in town this past March. She was performing her show at the University of Washington. MEAI was able to set up a workshop with her. I was ready to move to France after that!!! What an amazing woman! It would take many hours, days, months of study to fully grasp her vocabulary and it would be worth it. You are soooo lucky!!! Six months!! Eat lots of crepes, too!

Not sure I am going yet . . . and even then, not sure how much free time I will have . . . but definitely, Leila Haddad will be on my list to check out if I go . . . I have been wanting to work on my "folkloric" side.

Her sharqi is phenomenal as well!
