Reservations are required. Tables are limited.

About the Performance (+ details I just received)!
This is a separate event being sponsored by Layaleena Entertainment.
Show cover charge is not included in workshop fee.
Workshop participation does not include a reservation for the show.
If you wish to attend, you must call in advance to reserve a table.
The cover is almost the same as this venue charges always for a dance show and a night of dancing (normally $15). It is a full restaurant, with a full bar - so you can enjoy a delicious meal as well as a very special dance performance (to a live band!), then stay and dance with the band all night. The event will be at the Grand Ballroom in the lower level of the building. The better tickets are for the better view of the stage. The band is amazing and plays classical and modern Arabic music (usually 5-7 experienced musicians and 1 or 2 singers). Just for the band alone the cover is well worth it. They play music from 9-1am. To attend you must reserve a table -- by calling the organizer, Khaled Grainawi - and reserving for the # of people in your party. Tables are limited so I would recommend reserving your space sooner rather than later! She is one of the most impressive and mesmerizing performers of Oriental Dance (Raqs Sharki) I have ever seen, so if you want to see (or want your friends/family to see) a good example of this dance, in a 'traditional' setting (as traditional as we can get it in the USA).. this would be the show to go (bring them to)! The venue is family friendly. I perform there often and we regularly have grandparents and children - over 10yrs old- in attendance. There is a dress code (no sneakers, no hats). Please feel free to call Khaled if you have any other questions about the show!!

the above is written in the first person, but it's not me. Meiver is a very talented Boston area performer who has traveled the country with Turbo Tabla (Karim Nagi) has one a spot on the Desert Roses of the BDSS, among other accolades.

She is the sponsor of the above workshop with Bozenka (which I'm going to!!!! woohoo!) and I wanted to put the word out about the event.

I'm also planning on the show at Layaleena's which I haven't been to since it moved to it's current locale.

    Hope to see y'all there!

I think I may have taken a workshop with you? Leyla Jouvanna? Northhampton?

I'm very much looking forward to this workshop, she is a good teacher and I really enjoyed the last one that she I took.

Yup I was at the Leyla Jouvana workshops, that was fun! You did the cane dance, and the duet with Najmat, right?

I took the shimmy workshop with Bozenka at Raqs America, I'm looking forward to seeing what she teaches at this one.
