Arabic Tutor
I am a dancer, university graduate and a native Arabic speaker located in the Washington DC area. I am looking to teach Arabic to anyone interested in learning the language and more about cultures of the Middle East. I offer private and semi-private sessions. You will learn how to read, write, listen and speak in Arabic. I am willing to create a tailored program to fit your needs.
Here are some of the things you will learn:
- How to read, write and pronounce Arabic alphabets
- Basic Arabic grammar, write and create basic sentences
- Introduction to Colliqual Arabic
- Translation to Arabic songs: Classical, Egyptian pop, Shaabi, Saidi, Eskandarani, Lebanese and Khaleegi
- Be able to converse basic dialogues comfortably, emphasis will be on Egyptian Arabic
- Learn various Arabic dialects
- Distinguish between Lower and Upper Egyptian dialects and baladi terms commonly spoken in Egyptian films
Textbooks: Alif Baa, Al Kitaab
Previous Arabic experience is not required, I can start with you from scratch.
Please send me a private message if you are interested :)
