Thread: Downtown Area Classes

Hi, I'm looking for Classes in the Downtown or near Downtown Chicago Area. Any suggestions? Wendy100M@aol.com

Sonya of Arabesque is a fantastic teacher located on on the north side of Chicago. Arabesque Chicago - Belly Dance - Burlesque - Tribal - Dance Studio

There's a lot more too that I'm sure you'd find if you did a search for chicago bellydancers.

I believe Kimahri Belly Dancer Chicago - Belly Dancing Performances & Instruction by Kimahri Middle Eastern Dance Artist and Donna Diva are also in the Chicago area along with Sonya. Chicago has a wonderful bellydance community. I know there's more there. I'm sure they'll jump in here.

Kimahri, Donna Diva & Myself all teach in the suburbs of Chicago.

Dahlena, Sonya, Jasmin Jahal Studio are all in Chicago.

Erica Ochoa teaches at Pineapple Dance Studio in Forest Park. Not being a Chicago native, I'm not sure if that's too far outside of downtown, but she's a fabulous dancer and sweet person.

There really isn't anyone teaching (that I'm aware of) downtown or near the loop area and I've been doing an extensive search. Sonya is a little further west and simply awesome!

There is a dancer named Miss Taj who teaches classes in the Loop. I took her classes in Evanston and she is a lot of fun.

If you can venture past downtown, though, I give a wholehearted recommendation for Sonya!!!

It's down the street from Oprah's studio and from Alhambra Palace. YOu can take the green line to get there or several buses.

Myself and Amirah, as well as Mihri are all out in the suburbs too!
