Thread: Workshops in UK

Hello everybody, does anybody know of any good wokshops coming up in the Uk within the next year? I'm up in Scotland but am willing to travel. I'm just returning to dancing after about a five year absence so have lost touch with most people that I knew in the dance scene X

And there is a Scottish Belly Dance tribe over on tribe! I am waiting for Tribe to come back up as I am interetsed in joining that one. My son is in school in Aberdeen and as soon as I have migrated over there (COME ON, VISA!!!) I anticipate making regular trips up north!

Caroline runs some up in Edinburgh and Glasgow - google 'bellydancedivas' and you ought to be able to find out more.

Theres also Raqs Britannia in Blackpool in the summer (though this isn't usually considered the cream of the crop) .

For truly superb instruction I'd second the recommendation for JOY.

Also, as you are in Scotland, keep up with any updates from NADA (Nothern Arabic Dance Association) - there's not much organized so far for next year but they do regularly update. If you become a member, you also get ££ of the AGM workshop which is in Carlisle in 2009 so not too far away from the border.
