Thread: Searching for teacher and/or troupe

My name is Ashayla Webster and I’m a seventeen year old who is about to undertake a year long exchange program in the United States. I have been belly dancing for only a year and though I am very excited to emerge myself in the American culture, there are some things from home I don’t want to give up, dancing for one. I’ve been studying under a woman named Eva in my home town in Western Australia and wish to continue my studies in Tennessee. However I am finding it difficult to find a class in the area of Baxter/Cookeville, Tennessee. I was wondering perhaps if you knew of any classes in the area or would be able to direct me to someone who does.

It looks like you are between the larger cities like Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. You may want to contact some of the teachers in those cities to see if they know of anyone closer to you that is teaching. If not, there are some great workshops held in all three of those cities, so you may be able to continue your studies through workshops instead of weekly classes.
